A MOON CALLED LUNA

MY FELLOW AMERICANS...........HERE IS ANOTHER POEM THAT MAY BRING MEANING TO THOSE OF US WHO WOULD CHOOSE TO BE LEADERS AND PIONEERS OF THE NEW FRONTIER <br /><br />(CAN WE STILL REMEMBER THE IDEALISM OF A MAN CALLED JFK.....or has our quest for truth, justice and the American way been lost to those who would hold on to the lies of the past, believe it to be the truth yet would sacrifice a chance at correcting a wrong that has been passed down to our children as they search for a purpose to remain free and strong)<br /><br /><br />I THOUGHT THE NEW FRONTIER WAS A SET OF CHALLENGES PUT FORTH BY JFK ALL THOSE YEARS AGO......WHAT HAPPENED?......LET US BE CHALLENGED AGAIN!<br /><br /><br /> LUNA: A FACE FOR OUR MOON<br /><br />The face on the moon spoke to me one day<br />Up in the sky.........far, far away<br />Come visit me my son, come fly away soon<br />Leap back now through time, won't you please soar again to the moon <br /><br />This journey took place by humans you see<br />So the face in the moon means more now to me<br />Because we've seen her true face,<br />We've left behind our tracks with footprints on her plain <br />Isn't it time that we return to our Luna to reclaim our domain?<br /><br /> Daniel Wingsand Reed<br /> August 1998<br />

That's a really nice poem <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /><br /><br />Just a tip though in the future you might want to use less all caps ... people here tend to get anal retentive about that. Nevertheless I really like the poems you've posted thus far!

Let's start a Project called LUNA<br /><br />Let's make it official<br /><br />Let's gather the 10 surviving moonwalkers together to announce it to the world<br /><br />let's show the official NASA film of all the EVA's that were performed on the lunar surface......complete with Lunar Rovers and the tracks that they followed to get back home.<br /><br />Let's light a lunar spark in the American heart...<br /><br />Project LUNA gives our moon a name and a way to return to follow in Apollo's footsteps.<br /><br />This project will be funded by the Entertainment Industry and the general public....Not just through the tax money in Washington, D.C.<br /><br />Sincerely, <br />Daniel Wingsand Reed
