I'm surprised this hasn't shown up until now.

From Comcast news ...

Speaking in Arabic, al-Zawahri uses the term "abeed al-beit," which literally translates as "house slaves". But al-Quida supplied English subtitles of his speech that included the translation as "house negroes."

It also appears that Obama hasn't changed the US policies oppressing Muslims and his support of Israel is a "stance of hostility to Islam and Muslims."

The CBS report wasn't so juicy.

Zawahri began his remarks by congratulating Muslims on the election of Obama, describing it as, "the American people’s admission of defeat in Iraq,” noting that the American people had voted for the candidate who wanted to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq.

Zawahiri tells Obama that his plan to re-concentrate military efforts in Afghanistan is doomed to failure. He warns the new leader that by doing so, not only will his forces be defeated, but he himself will be met by the same fate as Mr. Bush and former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf - both of whom arguably saw their popularity wither thanks to their respective actions in the U.S.-led war on terror.

“It appears that you don’t know anything about the Muslim Ummah (nation) and its history, or the fate of the traitors who cooperated with the invaders against it, and don’t know anything about the history of Afghanistan and its free and defiant Muslim people. And if you still want to be stubborn about America’s failure in Afghanistan, then remember the fate of Bush and Pervez Musharraf, and the fate of the Soviets and British before them,” Zawahri says in the audio.

Bin Laden's deputy labels Obama another president who has chosen a stance of hostility against Islam and Muslims. He said Obama had "abandoned his Muslim faith," and set up a direct comparison between the president-elect and Malcom X, “who prided himself on his fraternity with the Muslims… You represent the direct opposite of honorable black Americans like Malik al-Shabazz, or Malcolm X, may Allah have mercy on him.”

I wish President-elect Obama good luck in dealing with these idiots.

-----------------------------------------------------

Ask not what your Forum Software can do do on you,

Ask it to, please for the love of all that's Holy, STOP !

Obama is a tougher propaganda target for them than Bush. I mean, digging up quotes about race made in a racially turbulent era, and from someone who's been dead for 43 years... Seriously?

Remember. No. AQ has plenty of fodder. Radical Islamists just love to hate "traitors" and that's just how they'll paint Obama. Bush was just your garden variety Infidel. But it's harder to sell that when the US just elected someone with a Muslim name, despite the longtime prejudice against non-WASP candidates. How the Muslim world at large sees the Obama administration is an unfolding story that we'll have to wait to see how it ends.

Obama has spoken the magical words.... He supports Israel. Just another reason to REALLY hate him if you're AQ.

This is a good thing though, jcdenton, because the world is going to get an abject lesson in what AQ is all about. Not that they should have any misconceptions after all this time, mind you. Obama is likely to be far less "confrontational" than Bush was/is, and will get a popularity boost due to being the"President That Got Us Out of Iraq". Meaning that lots of foreigners are gonna like this Obama cat the way they liked Bill Clinton.

That will change nothing with AQ or Hamas or Hezbollah. At the very least, it will show everyone that it doesn't matter who is in the White House, only that there IS a White House. At least I hope that will be what everyone learns.

"2012.. Year of the Dragon!! Get on the Dragon Wagon!".
