National Astronomy Day 2006, held this year Saturday, May 6, gives astronomy-lovers a chance to share their passion with the astronomy-curious. Clubs, planetaria, observatories, and museums will host public viewing events, telescope workshops, hands-on activities, and presentations to increase awareness about the profession and hobby.

Astronomy Day 2006 partners

Check with your local club to see what events are planned for your area.

We do Astronomy Day on Friday May 5th in Sedona, found it works out better for us. Saturday May 6th I go to Phoenix/Glendale for an event at Thunderbird Park. (It's actually Astronomy Week with events planned all week) Arizona Science Center is planning all week events.

www.siriuslookers.org
