(This is right out of the Astronomy Mag website)<br /><br />National Astronomy Day 2007, held this year Saturday, April 21, gives astronomy-lovers a chance to share their passion with the astronomy-curious. Clubs, planetaria, observatories, and museums will host public viewing events, telescope workshops, hands-on activities, and presentations to increase awareness about the profession and hobby.<br /><br /> National Astronomy Day 2007 <br /><br />Those of you without scopes can window shop at these events. Check with your local clubs to see what events are being held in your area.<br /><br />Our club will be holding ours on Friday April 20th (Safeway parking lot in Sedona AZ) then some of us are joining with either SAC in Phoenix or CAS in Flagstaff for theirs on Saturday.<br /><br />It's more of a National Astronomy Week with events being planned all week in some places.<br /><br /><br /><br /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <font size="1" color="#3366ff">www.siriuslookers.org</font> </div>
