Boeing Starliner astronauts have years of medical studies helping them with longer stay in space

The International Space Station has had to change its orbit to avoid space junk at least 32 times. At least six times, the threat was not detected soon enough to perform such a debris avoidance maneuver, and the crew has had to perform a partial station evacuation, closing all hatches and retreating into their return capsules. Now that NASA is returning the Boeing Starliner to Earth uncrewed, there are 9 crew members on the ISS, with seats for 3 in the attached Soyuz capsule, and 4 seats in the attached SpaceX Dragon capsule. What will be done with the two extra astronauts (whose space suits aren't compatible with either SpaceX or Soyuz systems), if another such evacuation is needed in the weeks before the SpaceX Crew-9 "rescue" capsule arrives?

Dragon crew 8 has additional space created during this period. This will be reversed when crew9 dragon arrives.
