Is it possible to make an object travel with a constant acceleration using sustained nuclear chain reaction in space?

Constant acceleration doesn't exist. It'll run out of power and/or propellant mass sooner or later.

But yeah, there are nuclear propulsion systems, google e.g. Nerva, Nuclear thermal rocket, and so on.

I think It all depends on what is the acceleration rate and what speed is it trying to reach before it runs out of power.wllsrvive

Nope. It'll run out of power or propellant no matter how gently you push it ;)
