I was just wondering about the new planet that the scientist found. Could it possibly be just a huge fragment breaking away from the Kupier Belt? <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <font size="2" color="#14ea50"><strong><font size="1">We are born.  We live.  We experiment.  We rot.  We die.  and the whole process starts all over again!  Imagine That!</font><br /><br /><br /><img id="6e5c6b4c-0657-47dd-9476-1fbb47938264" style="width:176px;height:247px" src="http://sitelife.space.com/ver1.0/Content/images/store/14/4/6e5c6b4c-0657-47dd-9476-1fbb47938264.Large.jpg" alt="blog post photo" width="276" height="440" /><br /></strong></font> </div>

Well, it's not breaking away from the Kuiper Belt -- it's a member of the Kuiper Belt. It is definintely a KBO. So is Pluto. Whether or not it is also a major planet is a matter of some debate. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" /> However, if Pluto is a major planet, this would have to also be a major planet. So in all likelihood, this will either become Planet 10, or kick Pluto off the list of major planets. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p> </p><p><font color="#666699"><em>"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff."</em>  -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"</font></p> </div>

I hope not. Seriously, I think the planet should be named Exodus. That name describes this new planet very well... cold and dark. <br /><br /><b> The Tenth Wonder of The World Is Actually A Planet!!</b> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <font size="2" color="#14ea50"><strong><font size="1">We are born.  We live.  We experiment.  We rot.  We die.  and the whole process starts all over again!  Imagine That!</font><br /><br /><br /><img id="6e5c6b4c-0657-47dd-9476-1fbb47938264" style="width:176px;height:247px" src="http://sitelife.space.com/ver1.0/Content/images/store/14/4/6e5c6b4c-0657-47dd-9476-1fbb47938264.Large.jpg" alt="blog post photo" width="276" height="440" /><br /></strong></font> </div>
