Does anyone know if DNA has any intellegence or does it just happen randomly? Just wondering when you have a child does the DNA actually say hey my blah blah chromosone is better than yours so I'll take this one? <br /><br /> I know it's not about astronomy just asking <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

There is such a thing as x chromosome silencing. This plays a very important part in x related disorders such as barth syndrome heterozygotes.<br /><br />It's not intelligence, but it is not random, since it is always the affected chromosome that is silenced. <br /><br />It is most likely a chemical feedback loop where the genes from the affected chromosome fail to make the right products to prevent silencing of this particular chromosome in very early stages of development.
