i am very new to the world of astronomy and just recently recieved a long awaited telescope..i will use what i have been given for now and love every min. of it..i was just wondering if they have telescopes out there that follow the observed objects automatically as you are looking, without manually turning the knobs? jusr curious for when someday i am more experienced and wanting more. thanx

They are called "GoTo" telescopes and the motorized option is a waste of money in my opinion. I think you learn a lot more and the whole astronomy experience is a lot more fun if you don't have this glamorized and over rated accessory. Just get a good star chart and learn the sky!<br /><br />That's just my opinion; but then I never had the option of using one when I was young...

Good points...<br /><br />If you ever want to get into Astrophotography, the clock drive is an essential accessory.
