Since so many of us use TONS of abbreviations when posting in here, I thought it might be fun for everyone to post a few. I know there's several databases out there, but they have THOUSANDS of acronyms that we generally don't use around here. The idea would be to post the more frequently used ones. I figure we could save some newbies some time (and heck, sometimes I even have to ask, and I consider myself a space junkie). Make sure to categorize your lists by what they are.. I've included some locations of interest:

Locations:
CCAFS - Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
VAFB - Vandenberg Air Force Base
KSC - Kennedy Space Center
JSC - Johnson Space Center
GSFC - Goddard Space Flight Center
MSFC - Marshall Space Flight Center
DFRC - Dryden Flight Research Center
ARC - Ames Research Center
LaRC - Langley Research Center
GRC - Glenn Research Center
SSC - Stennis Space Center
JPL - Jet Propulsion Laboratory
APL - Advanced Physics Laboratory
Anyone know why Langley Research Centre is LaRC and not LRC?

Because Glenn Research Center used to be called Lewis Research Center. There was LaRC and LeRC.

You left out the most important. The one that enters every aspect of the space program.

CYA - Cover Your Astronaut
