Good viewing location recommendations?

I would like to go to Canaveral Wed to see the shuttle launch as I am afraid the event will become more of a rarity. I know the tourist company sells tickets for viewing, not sure if it is sold out yet, but I'd like to know if anyone has any special recomendations of sites. I have a kayak and even a bicycle that I can use to get to out of the way locations (that are legal), so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (bonus karma if you can provide google map locations or even GPS spots).

There is a Wendy's on U.S. 1, directly across the street from Miracle City Mall (J.C. Penny's) that I used to go to when I lived in Orlando. It's halfway between Rt. 406 and Rt. 405. The Walgreens at the intersection of Rt. 50 and U.S. 1 is also very popular, rvastro and I will hopefully meet up there someday. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>
