I just posted a summary of the Spirit rover findings concerning the layered volcanic rocks and outcrops at Columbia Hills. I went through a few abstracts and press releases and my write-up basically paints a broad picture of what we know so far. I've also compiled some interesting images and mosaics that weren't widely distributed.

Have a look and I hope you find it useful. Just click on the "Layered Volcanics" link on my homepage.

Cheers,
Aldo.

You find a piece of pillow lava in a pan-cam image before anyone else sees it and you'll win the brass ring!

Excellent website.

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

That second to last image in the Images of Mars Part 2 thread looks like snow, ice, or frost; however, the pic is black and white, so it is just rocks, Jatslo bets.
