Hawking Documentary

Did anyone from the UK who frequents this board watch the Hawking documentary on bbc2 last night? If so, is there anyone who can explain, or try to explain, his theory on black holes that it ended with? It kind of bemused me, as it would, but I would really like to try to get my head around it.

I doubt it!<br /><br />When his presentations bemuse most of the other academics what chance have we got? At the risk of being flippant I think he just made it up.<br /><br />Wasn't it something about black holes in our universe being cancelled out by there being no black holes in a parallel universe?? It sounded <i>completely</i> bizarre.<br /><br />
