Interesting but judging from the comments underneath I would have to say it would have to be proven to do as it describes before I take it seriously

Mordred - "prove" is a very interesting word to use in physics. In science, we never really prove anything, just add more and more evidence for or against. This is the first bit of evidence for. Very cool! Of course, it's not actually Hawking radiation, just an analogue of it in a system analogous to a black hole. Still fascinating and highly suggestive, but it's not quite Hawking radiation yet.

Thanks for the great post. The difficulty in testing theories seems as if it is often much harder than coming up with them in the first place.






I think, therefore I am ..........constantly wanting to know why.
