looks like you missed a key concept in your reading material.

A lot of these questions can be answered by looking at photographs of the objects, and applying a basic geologic principle: Overlapping indicates age.

Newer craters obscure, destroy, change older craters. If crater A is whole, and "covers" crater B, then crater A is newer.

So, look for features of the named locations and craters that indicate one of them is "on top". That one is newer.

This can, in general, be applied to regions if you assume the region was crafted at about a single time. It's just like individual craters. Look for features of the regions that indicate they are "on top" of the other region where the two regions meet.

Your text probably has a section discussing how features of the moon are dated in general if you want more detailed information.

--------------------SaiphMOD@gmail.com -------------------

"This is my Timey Wimey Detector. Goes "bing" when there's stuff. It also fries eggs at 30 paces, wether you want it to or not actually. I've learned to stay away from hens: It's not pretty when they blow" -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"
