Help me find an older science fiction movie

I am trying to find an older movie about like when you were born you had this card put into your foot and you bought stuff using years of your life, you also worked to earn years of life. And it seems that this lady was about to die and her son was "rich" with years of life. I haven't seen it in years but it has been bugging me lately for some reason so if anyone knows what movie I am talking about I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

That's the danger of sleeping with the TV on. It was probably just a Visa, Discover, or Mastercard commercial. The years of life you buy things with are called "credit".<br />
