How real is the multiverse?

An interesting and easy reading report here. Some sections reminded me of past episodes of Star Trek or Star Gate or Star Gate Atlantis where people pop into some other, parallel universe and encounter different versions of themselves. Today, the Hubble constant is in a period of controversary, again. No Release for the Hubble Tension - Sky & Telescope - Sky & Telescope (skyandtelescope.org)

H0 values now range 68 to 74 km/s/Mpc depending upon methods used. Those rates can be converted into c.g.s. units of expansion speed and expressed as cm/s/cm. Very tiny rates compared to eternal inflation where the inflation epoch features 3D space expanding 10^20 greater than c velocity or more. Eternal inflation and inflation requires a universe with a very different vacuum energy density compared to the present too and perhaps other universes with very different vacuum energy densities. Other reports I read indicate the multiverse has at least 10^500 different universes.

"Science begets knowledge, opinion ignorance.
A multiverse may be a natural prediction of the physical theories that define the beginning of the universe.

How real is the multiverse? : Read more

Imagine setting off in a rocket and leaving Earth. Leaving the solar system. Leaving our galaxy. Breaking through the edge of the observable universe and leaving our cosmos behind (which would be impossible, as you'd have to go faster than the speed of light, but work with me here).

Now you are cruising through the unfathomable void for eons, only to come upon another universe, with another galaxy inside it, with another solar system, another Earth … and another you, sitting there, reading this article.

This is the multiverse, and it might be a natural prediction of the physical theories that define the beginning of the universe. Or it might not. It's tough to say, as new research has shown.

I am very concerned with the logic (or lack of logic) here.

Can you take anything which follows this seriously?

What possible justification can there be in suggesting that greatly extended travel will take you to another universe? Especially when Universe is defined as all that exists (all there is). Surely this means "all is, was and ever shall be.
3. "
This does not constitute a reliable definition of anything imho. Start with an impossible premiss, follow with a totally unrealistic statement, and you have created a multiverse.

Merriam-Webster:

"Multi- : Many : Muliple : Much.
More than one.
Many times over."

For those who obviously do not know what "multi" means!

"Verse : to cause to turn : rotate."

For those who obviously do not know what "verse" means!

Time "turning." Multi-wheels, multi-dials, of time "turning." Oops!!!! Not a straight arrow in the bunch except in radius and diameter (then double-pointed (dipole moment) back and forth (+/-))! It is a frontier universe, always endlessly in beginning (an endless beginning), or always time traveling back to the future. It is a multiverse universe.

The particle will take every possible path possible to it, all at once at the same time . . . all at once at the same time every possible universe. No information, no possibility, is ever gained or lost to the universes, the multiverse universes. Immortal. Eternal. Thus infinite requirement. ("God does not play dice with the Universe (U)!" -- Albert Einstein. "Oh yes, He does (play dice with the Universe), but they are loaded (the Multiverse)!" Stephen Hawking.)

The speed of light in vacuum is a universal constant, but the unobserved, unobservable, (hyper surface hyperspace) SPACE of the universe isn't! It is a multiverse universe.

The Universe' must be mostly closed or the laws of physics wouldn't work with such fidelity,
BUT
quantum physics suggest & support as evidence it isn't absolutely closed.
Further, Godel proved "any system with a self referencing element can never have absolute closure".
What is a person/physicist examining/contemplating the 'Universe' but a self referencing element?
The Universe is not absolutely closed. QED
Therefore the 'Universe' exists in some larger domain.
As a cultural pattern our inclination to place ourselves as the center, sole, singular, 'special', only has generally proved otherwise.
I would like to keep separate the idea of parallel universes (a special case) from the broader idea of a mixed assortment multiverse.
Since it is a larger domain where/when our Universe formed/exists it seems presumptive to think this is the only & special case,
where nothing similar to it also happened.
We could be currently overlapping with other universes, but they operate at such different scales of time, space &/or frequency that they are for all practical purposes unreachable.
A mixed assortment multiverse?
Yeah, i have to think so.
Parallel universes is different can of worms.
I am dubious.

Does physical theory, or physical properties, define this universe? Or does this universe define physical theory and physical properties? Could it be different somewhere else?

Did energy make matter or did matter make energy?

Does a property define an object or does an object define a property?

Can a property exist without it being manufactured or is an object the product/result of a property?

What about the property of structure? We have elements and objects of infinite variety.......except for fundamental mass. We have no structure for this energy mass ratio. When and where do energy and mass become physical structure? And what structure does it take?

Where does structure come from? And when does it form? What is the first structure?

Stop thinking you might run into yourself in traveling an Infinite MULTIVERSE Universe. Not a possibility, not a chance, as I finally figured out. Such duplicates will exactly overlay and inlay one into another duplicate. That means when you left the Milky Way galaxy in traveling away, all of your mirrored infinity of mirrored duplicates left the mirrored Milky Way in traveling away taking precisely the paths you did.

If you manage to arrive back into a Milky Way, and back to a homeland Solar System, there isn't even the possibility of you realizing it might not be the one you left. All of your duplicates arrived back into a Milky Way, and back into a home world solar system, at precisely the same instant you did but an infinity away, in the mirror! That is how it works.

What does it add up to regardless of the infinities? It adds up to there being only one exact duplicate of you, exact duplicate of the Earth, the solar system, and the Milky way galaxy, mirroring to infinity at a time. The system, in the case, reduces from infinity to one and one only (in mirror only).

Now that only applies to infinity's duplicates. You taking every possible different path there is, whether by choice or what the local universe forces upon you in it's taking every possible path, in your immortality of countless lives, lifelines, and lifetimes, is a different story altogether regarding the Infinite MULTIVERSE Universe. But, there are likely ways that the MULTIVERSE keeps such universes apart in facets and dimensionalities . . . and you can never even happen upon your own different universe in a local lifetime of yours. It may seem to be similar to you thinking about it from either side of the horizon between, but there will be no connection between them, no actual similarities between these kinds of universes. You will be residing in both in different lifelines, but each will be so alien to the other, like matter and antimatter, as to be impossible of connection, embracing, traveling.

So, though infinities (including eternity and immortality, in infinities of frontiers, in "infinity of the mind" and "Deja Vu") will always be opening up to you, not all of them in the MULTIVERSE will be open to you, or open all at once at the same time, or in the same space, or in the same distortions of dimensions, to you. You land in a universe, "a galaxy far, far, away," you will always be the only information of you there.
