Hubble telescope spies a stellar nursery through clouds in stunning image

The report shows a lovely image of AFGL 5180. This older report indicates the area is some 1.5 kpc distance or nearly 4900 light years away. Unveiling Deeply Embedded Sources by Near-Infrared Polarimetric Imaging - NASA/ADS (

What I did not find, how much dust and gas mass is in AFGL 5180? What is the rate that the dust and gas are converted into new stars, i.e. the star formation rate? Is AFGL 5180 an efficient new star creator or messy with fragmentation problems, etc.? How many new stars will AFGL 5180 create? Interesting image though.
