Thanks, The big space.com crash was my motivator, so I added Saturn / Mars Images to my web site.

Here is a overhead look at the rovers sites and what type of terrain they are in. Weather report is
-- sunny with no chance of rain.
Ron Bennett

Here is a closer look.

They both look like they are close, several kilometers from what appears to be outflows / channels.
Don't know what the scale is here, they could be over 10 kilometers for all I know. If they are close
enough, this may be where they are headed in the springtime if they survive the winter.

Ron Bennett

rlb2, thanks for the weather report. Also, good to see that you've got a website going for your images. I had to give up on mine...ran out of free web space and can't afford to purchase any right now. Oh well. It's time consuming and RL demands my attention.

Anyway, here's one from Oppy on Sol 165. Used L2, L5 & L7 filters.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

"I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. I"m afraid those are extremely wide-angle shots, rlb, covering hundreds of miles.

That little crater in which the Spirit cross is located is in fact the whole, Connecticut-sized Gusev crater, with Ma'adim Vallis heading off to the south (50 miles or more from the rover).

Here is a much better map of the spirit site released 07-16-04 by JPL. I colorized, sharpend and lightened it.
Ron Bennett
