The MRO Context Camera & the HiRISE have identified a recent landslide on the slopes of the gigantic Olympus Mons shield volcano. A tiny crater, approx 4 metres wide has an extensive dust apron down slope.

Your post mentioned an impact. Was it an asteroid? I've been wondering how long it will be before someone here on earth observes a major impact on one of the inner rocky planets (hopefully not earth).

Most likely to have originated from the Asteroid Belt, but the impactor is only thought to be about 50 centimetres wide, that caused this. Very small body, really a meteorite.
