Interesting. There are many today who reject Einstein Special Relativity and General Relativity, and the principle of equivalence it seems. From my brief readings, some focus on quantum mechanics. E=mc^2 is the basis of the atomic bomb and nuclear weapons and the weapons work. During solar eclipses, Einstein GR correctly predicts the displacement of stars near the Sun's limb too like verified again during the August 2017 (21-August with Sun in Leo), total solar eclipse across the USA. There is the famous Mercury orbit and perihelion problem too that GR solved. We have time dilation in particle physics too and gravitational redshift of light coming from white dwarf stars. There is light-time to Earth during Galilean moon transits too supporting Relativity. The list of tested results supporting Einstein is extensive. Those working to overthrow Einstein will continue their efforts, no doubt.

I read the link. There's a couple of 2nd row physicists who reject general relativity and they look like quacks compared to all the experimental evidence.

Einstein spent 40 years trying to discover the unified field theory. Have you read the thread here Unified Strings 21 or 19 (Dimensions & Aspects of Spacetime)?

I stress the main point again as you attempt to divert the discussion with ...how many years Einstein spent on the Unified Field Theory.

To theorize is the beginning of acquiring knowledge ...but then that theory has to be modified or rejected if facts do not support it.

There is a plethora of information, it existed well before Einstein invented / discovered it.

Wrong. There are NOT "many" - there are a few out of thousands of professional physicists.

From my brief readings, some focus on quantum mechanics.

General relativity and quantum mechanics are bridged through higher dimensions (hyperspace) and strings. See Unified Strings 21 or 19 (Dimensions & Aspects of Spacetime) on this subforum.

Nuclear power plants and nuclear-power ships and submarines also work.

Venus ,7 AU & Mercury .4 AU is part of GOD=7_4 Theory as is Venus' orbit of 224.7 days = 7.4 avg. months (30.4 days each).

....well, Brad. If you had followed the links, and examined the writings which Albert Einstein himself wrote, in his own words

The Question now becomes, Who is [B]Brad Watson - Miami[/B] to object and continue to insist there are " those working to overthrow Einstein ......." when Einstein, himself, had said so, to put it bluntly, he, admitted, that he was wrong.

Also after 1915 Einstein reintroduced the fallacious ether rejected by the experiment of Michelson and Morley in 1887 in favor of Newton’s corpuscles moving in vacuum at the speed of light. For example in 1924 Einstein wrote: “According to special relativity, the ether remains still absolute because its influence on the inertia of bodies…is independent of every kind of physical influence.” Of course under his massless quanta of fields in 1915 Einstein abandoned the fundamental action at a distance of Newton’s third law and proposed a set of postulations like the “Ether structure” and the wrong gravitational waves. Note that in 1935 the experiments of the Quantum Entanglement rejected Einstein’s gravitational waves. However Einstein did not accept such experiments confirming Newton’s action at a distance and called it SPOOKY ACTION AT A DISTANE. Nevertheless in his paper of 1936 he denounced the gravitational waves. Also he did not like the gravitational properties of light confirmed by Soldner and introduced the invalid curvature of space which should be thought to be responsible for the bending of light.

However much more later(1938) Einstein himself abandoned his previous idea of curvature of space and recognized that photons have mass affected by the gravity in accordance with Galileo’s curved trajectory. For example in Einstein’s book “The Evolution of Physics” (page 234) we read: “A beam of light carries energy and energy has mass. But every inertial mass is attracted by the gravitational field, as inertial and gravitational masses are equivalent. A beam of light will bend in a gravitational field exactly as a body would if thrown horizontally with a velocity equal to that of light”. ...."

Einstein in his book THE EVOLUTION OF PHYSICS, page 234, abandons his previous idea of Curvature of space, and says:

“A beam of light carries energy and energy has mass. But every inertial mass is attracted by the gravitational field, as inertial and gravitational masses are equivalent. A beam of light will bend in a gravitational field exactly as a body would if thrown horizontally with a velocity equal to that of light”
