This weekends Leonid metor shower - <br />how many sightings per hour are expecting (best guess)<br />and which night & time is the best to view it? (phoenix AZ location)<br /><br /><img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /> Thanks in advance.<br />

For the western US the best rates are likely to be only 15 per hour, in the last few hours before dawn, unless something unexpected happens (always possible).<br /><br />The radiant doesn't rise until 11:30 PM, so no point in looking before then for Leonids, though you might see some Taurids (slow meteors from overhead at midnight)<br /><br />Meteor Wayne <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John.
