Either way there is still no specific direction. I am very curious what will happen after November once elections are over.

I will provide a brief comment in that I believe that tax money should go directly to NASA with no strings attached. I believe that NASA should set up a panel to decide on what and where the money should be spent.

Politicians are clueless about detailed astronomy/science and have many other things to worry about than to worry about where OUR space dollars should go. Also, a NASA panel should set up a publicized method of viewing opinions/votes from the tax-paying citizen for suggestions on where the money could be spent. Of course the NASA panel would make final determinations based upon dollars and current scientific know-how, but this would take out the whole political mess that we are confronted with today.

If things are required to change in order to move forward, I do not believe it rests with Senate or otherwise decisions. It rests with the dreamers and ones who truly want to make it happen.
