When Mt. St. Helens came to life, I decided that I would like to hear what it sounded like. I wrote a program to convert seismograms to .WAV files, so I could hear them. Now it is time to share some of my results. Since I can't post this big audio file here, I'll just ask you to visit my home page instead.

Just visit http://home.comcast.net/~igorsboss and click the link to hear the mountain.

This data is played back so that 1 hour of real time recording plays back in just 30 seconds.

Also, you might want to see the webicorder at http://www.geophys.washington.edu/SEIS/PNSN/WEBICORDER/GREEN/JUN_EHZ_UW.2004110500.html
