MA Discussing Physics?

Anyone else find it somewhere between fascinating and disturbing to see MA
arguing about time dilation proof.

I never really thought of him as a Woo, but the point he is making is right out
of the woo handbook. And playing fast and loose with terms like velocity,
acceleration and force.

The one thing I always got about M_A was, he's always right. Or so I have been told. Repeatedly. And again. And so on.

yeah, he's got me a bit surprised at his tack. He's normally pretty good with this stuff.

Perhaps he's merely bored, and messing with us just a bit?

Perhaps. I never considered considered him stupid, or one given to supporting
what I refer to as a "magic mirror" theory - i.e. one whose results exactly mirror
an existing theory, but seek to invoke a mechanism (usually unspecified, hence
magic) that is different than the existing theory.

He mangled the notion of an orbit as badly as a freshman 1st semester physics
student could hope to.

Strange.

I dunno, Wayne. While I always respected David's intellect and verbal acuity, he did tend to get a bit strange sometimes. I could never quite figure out where that arose from.

We had several posts yesterday from folks taking the "artistic" approach to physics.
I guess it was the day for it.

On the flip side, have you noticed we've suddenly had an influx of relatively normal people as well? Some of the, such as TheRaven, seem fairly lucid. A good sign, I hope.

bah! Did MA get hit on the head recently? I know he's been a hard empiricist, and a skeptic of a lot of speculative science. But he's just stated he's got little faith in modern scientists and science...

The more he picks at this subject, the more he sounds like the fringe crowd....

Never figured him for being that far out there.

Well, considering his threads not too long ago with the deliberately provocative starters, he may be branching out into trolling. Maybe he's putting us all on.
