Domestic politics vis-a-vis the local environmentalists and purists and zealots of many stripes is a definite concern. This is avoided in the USA by simply writing off large chunks of the population in the marketing strategy. In Europe, this may not be effective in outflanking the opposition.

The short answer to these points are that ultimately I have just one line of defense in my strategy: an abundance mentality will turn those objections into neutrality if not support even.

I learned about having a scarcity mentality or an abundance mentality years ago in Portland Oregon as the Microbrewery industry exploded in the mid-Eighties.

I was a good homebrewer by 1985 and helped organize the original Oregon Brewer's Festival. I was fortunate enough to be the liason between the Oregon Brew Crew and the founding members of the Oregon Brewers Guild. The brewers guild consisted of the German Widmer brothers, the Italian Ponzi team running Bridgeport and the Brits running Portland Brewing.

These guys realized they needed to grow their market, not compete with each other. They knew they needed to grow the pie, not just fight over the slices of pie. They all had an adundance mentality and they were all wildly successful.

So I say to these expected European dissenters:

'Well yeah, this American led effort is going to make America stronger, duh. But if you guys want to get in on this action, you're more than welcome. Euros would stay in Europe, spending money on European priorities. Somehow, this would need to coordinate with our goals, in which case you're associates of ours. If you want to build a settlement next door, that's cool, but if you want some of the 28 slots, you'll be an associate somehow.'

And that would essentially be my first line of defense for all those problems you cite. Avoid the 'cost of compromising' by not compromising your sound principles of egalitarianism. Make the nay-sayers seem petty and
