I was going through Merit Badges that I felt semi-competent to mentor kids through in Boy Scouts, and I found one on Space Exploration.

Requirements are here:
http://www.meritbadge.com/mb/107.htm

I know there are a lot of good resources on the web, but I was curious if any of y'all had done this sort of thing yourselves?

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

My oldest 2 are in Cub Scouts, and we do all kinds of things at KSC, last fall we camped at KARS park on the Space Center, and there was a Delta II launch that night. Talk about cool!

The requirements of the Merit Badge seem pretty fun, in just a few years I'll be doing that with my boys, I'm sure.

This is another one I'm pretty comfortable with:
http://www.meritbadge.com/mb/025.htm

No fair! Those weren't available when I was in Girl Scouts!

I did get a bunch of other related badges, though, such as Astronomy.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"
