Short notice, but I was just cleaning the spam out and found that Dr. Albers at NASA had accidentally gotten relegated to there. Oops!

I'm going to trim and leave the pertinent stuff from the email for those interested:

[...]

[Ursid shower]

That means that if you can run a camera Sat morning before dawn (the Moon
will be low and set before sunrise) or Saturday evening after darkness, you
might capture unique data about the shower leading up to or after the
predicted peak.

Observations will be challenging as there will be a full Moon and the
meteors may not be very bright. Point away from the Moon and have something
blocking it if possible.

The next interesting shower is the Quadrantids on Jan 3/4.
http://quadrantid.seti.org/

[end]
------

Alas, I'll be in Washington at the Quadrantid peak. The odds of clear skies there are somewhere between Nil and "What are you smoking?"...

.

bipartisan (bī-pär'tĭ-zən, -sən) [Adj.] Maintaining the ability to blame republications when your stimulus plan proves to be a devastating failure.

IMPEACH OBAMA!
