One thing never ceases to amaze me about people who promote the idea that any space mission was a hoax.

It's a back door admission that their species is too stupid to achieve miracles through intelligence and hard work.

For on the order of 400 years, we have known how to predict with unfailing certainty where a celestial body will be at any given time through both observation and mathematical proof.

For over 250 years, we have known how to determine where we are on our planet using the above mentioned as long as we have an accurate clock.

For almost 50 years, we have repeatedy launched vehicles that escape our atmosphere and orbit our planet.

For about 40 years. we have been able to direct spacecraft beyond the confines of Earth orbit.

We have been receiving telemmetry from spacecraft launched almost 30 years ago.

We have thousands of images from the Voyager spacecraft from an era when an 80286 processor and 256K RAM was the hottest thing on the market. Not to mention the lack of software that could fake images from Jupiter for example.

To those people, the Earth is still flat. Yet they are willing to believe that in those same 50 years, they own pocket calculators that have more processing power than the first computers.

They are willing to believe that in about 60 years, we could go from the Wright Flyer to supersonic jet aircraft the could fly at Mach 3.

They're willing to believe that in 30 years that we could have satellites in geosynchronous orbit that allow us to watch TV from anywhere on the planet at any time we wish given the right receiving equipment.

Yet they consider it impossible that Mankind set foot on the moon. Or put 3 rovers on Mars. Or landed on Titan while being totally convinced that the Elohim are coming back to enlighten us.

Imagine a world where 80% of the population believed that way.

It's beyond my comprehension.

"2012..
