It looks nice, but unfortunately, you forgot one minor detail: propellant!

That is a very LEO-LLO ferry, and it will require LOTS of energy to get it to the moon and back, and just as much to brake into LEO and LLO. How do you plan to get the 200+ tons of propellant up there for each mission?

I can think of two possible ways
#1 The use of nuclear propulsion
#2 The LTV can be slow down more quickly if it has smaller mass
Are they possible?

Check out the NGCR Engine thread for your in orbit propulsion system. Consider setting up orbiting stations in both Earth & Lunar orbit. Figure out a method of making it pay for itself, ie platinum mining.

.

Never roll in the mud with a pig. I have a concept that looks earily like yours, guess I'm not the only one with the idea of a space ferry. The difference was that I included a space dock and capsule built by private enterprize to save money, I also had a different propulsion module using a few different methods. I have three versions right now for the propulsion module, I probably will have them posted next weekend. I like space ferry concepts, they are very adaptable. Maybe we should have a thread for space ferry concepts, in fact, I'll start one now.

I posted a couple of pics on space ferry concepts you might be interested in.

.

Never roll in the mud with a pig.
