The article reminds us that the last American or any human mission to the Moon was in December 1972 almost 50 years ago. I didn't want to wait this long for the US and the rest of the West especially to have a rocket built that is capable of bringing astronauts back to the surface of the Moon. At least Artemis 1 should have its first test flight in the vicinity of the Moon this year well before December and pave the way for hopefully a soon return of the US and international and commerical partners to the surface of the Moon in connection with the Artemis component Deep Space Gateway and lunar lander.
