After analyzing the results of Friday's (April 9) abortive rotor-spinning test, the Ingenuity team has decided to modify and reinstall the helicopter's flight control software. A new flight will be set next week.

The un-named rep in this video with a Mars Helicopter polo shirt(?) says that the 40 sec. maiden flight of Ingenuity is "the time we felt safe doing it on our first flight given the energy levels we're seeing."

Energy levels?? The whole issue with Ingenuity is a little too suspect. A full software update seems like a scorched earth, desperate move.
