There is currently a plan on NASA's books for a pinhole telescope capable of imaging (really!) exoplanets. It has an aperture of 10 meters with a prime focus of about 56,000 km. The elements are light and doable, and alignment is not as terrible as it appears. The area of the image is several thousand km. It's a matter of searching for the image.
