Hello!

My name is John and Im working on a film set in space. I'm working on views of Neptune.

Neptune is quite pale / washed out in real life. In childrens books and such, the contrast is bumped way up.

I want my shots to be authentic, less concerned with them being accurate.

I'm a bit stuck and hoping for any and all input and feedback on this. I want it to be good.

Thanks so much in advance

John

I have, yes - the gold standard has been Bjorns images of Neptune, processed to be 'true color' for me.

I'm going for authenticity, so I'm imagining it was a few months after VGR2 (im not going to copy the layout of GDS).

Hard to get a handle on its true color

How will your film be distributed? Personally I'd suggest some little creative license as the planets can look pretty dull without it.

On a similar note, I'm sorry to say but NASA's New Horizons spacecraft's views of Pluto are the most humdrum thing I've ever seen in my life. Like I just want to fall asleep looking at them. I'd rather watch paint dry. I hope you're movie doesn't do that.
