These may be the most beautiful space pictures ever:

Not just because they are beautiful, which they are, but because of what they may show -- the first ever extraterrestial water!! I know there are a few competing theories, but it REALLY looks like Enceladous has liquid water. If it has liquid water, it is SO EASY to speculate on what else it MIGHT HAVE.

Yes, they are very beautiful pictures, but as you have said, their beauty not only comes from the visual effects, but more from the possibilities that this 'extraterrestrial water' may hold.
We all know that water has the uncanny ability to make and support life, so it is reasonable to assume that water on other planets, or moons, may hold the very building blocks of life, or better yet... micro-life itself. If only the public were more interested in space travel and the possibility of life. Of course, there is economic recession going on, so I can see why people's thoughts and cares are adverted.
