Only some people require physical proof for aliens to be accepted as real; others are persuaded by the voluminous reports and records.
Briefly; they're real, they've been visiting Earth for at least 250 millenniums, and they're here now, in fact, there's also good evidence of alien constructions, including an eyewitness who later died suspiciously when he divulged his experiences.
The U.S. Navy videoed crafts that would make right angle turns at supersonic speed, that would descend 30,000' in a second, and that could enter and leave the water at speed, etc., all with no visible means of propulsion, no maneuvering surfaces, and no heat signatures from exhaust.
Some may need a face slap - show me the alien! Others see the facts as presented, and their implications. Being only swayed by the acquisition of an alien entity or vessel, it's going to be a very long time before they find that proof. Why? Because aliens are super better than Homo sapiens. I've no doubt that, given their observable actions, they are conceivably millions of years ahead of our technology. Far enough ahead to be unconcerned about us - with one caveat - they have demonstrated their interest, concern, and actual intervention in our nuclear weapons. In one instance, they both shut down multiple silo sites at the same time, only later to release them later, in a manner that was beyond the current technology (they passed over the hours long reboot and restored them to fully operational at the same time.) In another instance, they turned all the missiles on at a site and started the launch procedures; they then stopped it within seconds of the launch. There are many such records of their concerns.
