Hello Everyone – I have a new telescope (my first) and tonight I hope to use it for the first time. I live in eastern PA and I am wondering at what time tonight can I view Saturn, let me couple that question with where in the sky do I look too (I am new to astronomy so I have a lot to learn). Many thanks !!

Here's your Saturn viewing forecast:<br /><br />http://soc.jpl.nasa.gov/viewing.cfm<br /><br />It will be much more spectacular without that full moon though; too much light... I would suggest that you study the moon first, to acclimate yourself to your new telescope - best wishes!

There are some interesting programs out there that can be had for free that can also help you find/visualize what is going on in the sky. One that I am fond of is home planet:<br /><br />http://www.fourmilab.ch/homeplanet/<br /><br />Wayne <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p>"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything."  Admiral Jackie Fisher</p> </div>

Sometime around 1am in the morning you'll find Saturn in Cancer in the Eastern Skies. The later it gets, you'll have better viewing as the Planet rises higher.
