Hi,

I bought Night Sky Explorer CD Rom in 2004 and have only just got round to trying it out. I am amazed that I have been able to get it to work, I am not a very technical person / 10 out of 10 to space.com then :)

My interest is in ancient skies and NSE is great in that it zooms back to 200BC in a trice, I was wondering though, since 2004 have there been any updates to enable users to go backwards any further in the night sky please? I realise it's a bit of a brain teaser because the North Star becomes Thuban (in Draco) the further you go back I think?

Many thanks!

How far back???

RedShift 7 goes back to: 1st January 4713 BC & forward to: Friday 31st December 9999.

This computer will not load RedShift (should do, but wont), but will try & get it to work.
