Richard Muller (the Muller associated with the Nemisis hypothesis) of the UC Berkeley Physics Department has developed a very nice physics class for a general audience. It covers most of the topics in modern physics at a conceptual level with minimal mathematics. but at a deep conceptual level. Berkeley has made videos of all 26 complete lectures available on YouTube. The lectures typically run a bit over 1 hour, but the time goes quickly if you are interested. His style is engaging. He covers some interesting examples, including the basic mechanism for global warming and the truth about the Roswell incident. The videos are available at this site:

http://youtube.com/results?search_query=Physics+10&search_type=

I've watched nearly all of them... very well done, though I a bit mistified why he, on a couple different occations, states the milky way only has 10 billion stars. I'm guessing just a brain fart. Happens to the best of them.

Regardless, quality lectures that keep you interested. I second the recommendation.

"If something's hard to do, then it's not worth doing." - Homer Simpson

I have seen no signs that any presidential candidate (nor for that matter 98% of Senators and Congressman) would derive any benefit from such lectures. It's sadly, all politics, no science, all the time.

Thanx for the link, I'll set it up in the background to get through when I have the time.

But the Krell forgot one thing John.
These videos sound like my cup of tea. I have just recently finished reading "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawkings. It sounds like these videos will keep me occupied for some time. Thanks for the link Dr. Rocket!!

Those who never make mistakes, are always led by those who do.
