It is a very sad situation. Perhaps enough debris can be recovered to pinpoint a cause, or we may never know.

Now that we know the sub has imploded and there is no possibility for rescuing the crew members, I hope this issue will not fade from media coverage before they tell us what we do know. For instance, there is an article that states that the Navy detected a noise that is now thought to be an implosion. But, the timing of that noise is not put into the context of how long after the sub lost contact with the surface, when the "banging sounds at 30 minute intervals" were heard and not heard, etc.
