I live in southern california. It is 9:36 pm and while looking at the stars I have noticed a "star" that is southeast of Orion that is flashing/blinking red, white, and blue, or at least appears to blink these colors. I have been watching it for several minutes and it does not appear to move, becuase I thought it might be a plane or something at first. Now I really want to know if this is some star or some other atmospheric condition that would cause this. There are no clouds at all. Please let me know if you can think of anything. Thanks

jason
