Ok, I got that post Return of the King feeling now.

I've seen starwars and it was fantastic and now I got that how can anything follow that feeling. So whats next... Feels like everything this is going to be a let down now. So please post and tell me what else is coming up.

I'll start with a few so it shouldn't be too hard to think of more. Also give an ancipipation rating out of 5
(remember this is just after Star Wars so everything else seems a little dull)

Movies.
Serenity - Sept 30th ****
War of the Worlds - June 29th ***

TV.
Battlestar Galactica - (15 July, US. October, UK) ***

Books.
Judas Unchained - Peter F. Hamilton ****

"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. Don't forget Narnia -- "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" is being advertised before Star Wars III, and it looks fantastic. Same FX people as Lord of the Rings, actually.

Other exciting things going on include the return of "Doctor Who" to the small screen, although if you're an American, you're going to have to settle for pirated copies for now.

In the non-fiction world, there's the Shuttle Return to Flight. Regardless of how one feels about the program, there is some serious cool factor in a real spaceflight.

If you enjoy Harry Potter, there's always "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" to look forward to, and the upcoming film adaptation of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

The new film adaptation of "The Fantastic Four" looks interesting.

"Batman Begins" looks VERY interesting. And blessedly, none of the people involved with the last two Batman films have anything to do with it.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

Yeah the new batman is a fresh start, a retelling.

But come on, Superman damnit! The greatest super hero of our time, versus the greatest criminal mastermind of our time (my lifes inspiration and hero), lex luthor.

Yeah I really like the look of Batman, not sure about Fantastic 4 yet could go either way. Superman has a very camp outfit.

Whilst on comic book titles theres Spiderman 3 and X-men 3 to consider but not to be expected before '06.
"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. I am very much looking forward to the release of "A Scanner Darkly" and have a thread on it, though the release date keeps slipping.

I don't know about post "Star Wars" feeling. It will be a while before I get to see number III, but 1 and 2 didn't come close to matching 4,5, and 6.

I want to see some more intelligent Sci Fi that brings all your senses in to the future, somehting more akin to "Blade Runner," a movie that has not been rivalled. It seems Sci Fi movies are trapped in a "special effects" competition these days, with other aspects (characterisation, mood etc) left by the wayside.

As far as the star wars fix is concerned two things to look foreward to (unless they get scrapped before production really starts) is a weekly 30 min animated series of the clone wars...same thing as the shorts they had on cartoon network last year.

Also, now, there are plans for a weekly one hour Live Action Star Wars series set between the events of ep3 and ep4. It will not regularly contain major characters but will have known minor characters. It is expected to be ready for the sept '06 season (last time I checked) and will be directed in whole or in part by Kevin Smith. George Lucas has said he will not retain creative control for these projects and I believe the heir apparent is indeed Kevin Smith. It has been a couple months since I checked this out so any new info more recent than last april/may is out of my scope.

You forgot Wallace and Gromit, in "the big carrot caper".

I am also looking forward to Judas, I quite liked the previous book, and I can't see how it will progress, which is good. Normally you can see whats going to happen early on, in series, but not in his. I defy anyone to read the first few chapters of Night's dawn and pick where it is going

Nights Dawn was a great series, I wish it had finished as strongly as it had started.

I felt the ending was something of a let down.

Avaunt, fogive my memory, did I PM you about a book called cloud atlas?
"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. Made me rush out and order his other 2 books, they are top of my reading pile as we speak.

I've finally visited the post office and you have a book winging its way to you as we speak. The film I'm most looking forward to is Joss Whedon's "SERENITY". Look for the trailer and you'll see what I mean...

One Percent of Federal Funding For Space: America CAN Afford it!! LEO is a Prison -- It's time for a JAILBREAK!!
