Hi Jon, thanks for the reference. As an enthousiastic amateur spectator to this process of discovery and deduction, I really appreciate Lackawalla's writing style. She does a handy job of translating the nomenclature while maintaining a clarity of evidence.<br /><br />They narrowed it down to two hypotheses - one wet and one dry - and they ruled out the dry one systematically. btw, I was joshin' about the "Boots on the ground!" Wayne and I were having some fun. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font size="2" color="#ff0000"><em><strong>I'm a recovering optimist - things could be better.</strong></em></font> </p> </div>

I was still having breakfast so was not up to my usual self <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /><br /><br />What was interesting in Emily's blog was the comment that these features are so dark that the signifal from them is basically the background noise.
