"Klaatu barada nikto"

In the episode The Monkees Watch Their Feet of the TV series The Monkees, an alien robot who has replaced Micky Dolenz cries out, "Gort! Veringa! Gort! Veringa!! Klaatu barata nikto! Klaatu barata nikto!"[

Gary Seven was a good character to see and read about. I'm sure you know he and Roberta were the main antagonist(?) for Kahn in the Rise and Fall of Kahn. Those were two books that I enjoyed on tape. He retired in the end, and Roberta took over in the end.

That is, I hope some of you don't still think of it as a SPOILER of CURRENT events, being as those books are old enough to have whiskers.

I don't think he was smug either. At the end of the movie he laid down the law as "policeman" will do. That was his job. His occasional grin during the movie was, in my opinion, a grin from someone who knows better.

Not even quite as a policeman.

As somone from the universal community, who was among those who had handed the "policeman" role over to an unambiguous, unimpeachabe source of justice. Not involving any sublety at all, nor gray areas of judgement.

If you are a threat to the universe's sentient beings, then you won't be any more. You will be obliterated. It's not a choice. Your choice is to comply, or cease to exist.

Period.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Well that was exceedingly boring.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Monsters. Actually the first link is rather instructive. One building looks like the museum described in the original source material: "Farewell to the Master".

Perhaps this will follow the source material more than the first film, or it will be a mix of the two.

I literally just got done watching the original 1952 version of the movie with the "watch now" feature of netflix. I'm not normally one into some of the old sci-fi stuff like this, but lately my interests in it have been growing. This movie wasn't bad. I will admit though, that if they do redo the movie, it won't have the same effect, I'm sure.
