Several residents of Erath County will appear in the History Channel’s presentation of “I Know What I Saw” produced by James Fox at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Angelia Joiner , the reporter who first wrote about UFO sightings in Erath County in 2008, said one of the locals on the program is Ricky Sorrels. She said Fox has said he is the most credible UFO witness he has ever interviewed.

Also in the film are Lee Roy Gaitan of Dublin, David Jaquess of Stephenville and Steve Allen of Glen Rose. Allen was the first person to report the sightings to Joiner at the local newspaper.

“The Stephenville event is the largest mass sighting since Phoenix lights occurred more than a decade earlier,” Joiner said. “It made international headlines due to the credibility of the witnesses in the Stephenville and Dublin area.”

Fox made several trips to Stephenville to interview witnesses. He has also included information on the radar report compiled by Robert Powell, National Mutual UFO Network research director, and Glen Schulz, retired radar specialist. Both confirm eight witnesses of an unknown object flying without a transponder in time and direction.

“Anyone who attended the Mutual URO network meeting in January 2008 at the Dublin Rotary club building may find themselves in the movie,” Joiner said.
