Look more closely, and compare with a real road. Roughly parallel "lines" may be found, but not lines as we know them. Lumps of rock with no parallel or continuous surfaces. No more roads than clumps of points can have a two perfect parallel straight lines drawn through them Optical illusions misinterpreted by an open (as in empty) mind eager to find 'impossible' sensational connections.

I doubt that they are roads as we know them. That area was once covered by water. And water has been known for doing strange things over time.
Like making caves and caverns, moving mountains, and eroding rock cliffs.

Clovis,

"How would it be possible that nature alone would stack up a lot of the same rocks in that order?"

I don't see roads anywhere defined by irregular heaps of stone of irregular sizes some, by chance, being in approximate unstraight lines.

Strong tidal eps and flows. Notice you don't see any other rocks like that nearby. Ive read about the tides pushing old sunken ships up on beaches.

Perhaps it's only the crest of something much bigger buried in the ground.
Mars has a lot of anomalies we don't yet understand. We try to compare to our world. The evolution of both planets is nowhere alike.

Please be tolerant). In many places on Earth roads are much worse than that alignment.
Road, meaning: 'a wide way leading from one place to another, especially one with a specially prepared surface which vehicles can use '.
They are obviously leading at least.

But, seriously, there were/are no roads on Mars. Surely EOS?

Nature can arrange rocks in a very strange way over time. The Earth has evidence of that also. A meteor could have that. Blast force, who knows.
At the A Bomb test sites there things like that. More than that. Big rocks stop little rocks and it built up, Are they horizontal, or vertical, away from the blast? Blast would be 360 degrees, they could be anything. I don't believe they are roads after millions of years.

Remember von Daniken. Some of those so-imagined structures, like 'airports' for alien spaceships, were a couple of feet across. Some of those 'roads' were hundreds of feet across. So the aliens had spaceships only inches across, but cars dozens of feet long?

Or was it just imagination which was being stretched to superimpose structure on natural features?

This is the difference between a human brain and an artificial brain. Recognition response happens fast in the brain, within a few hundred milliseconds (going from lower level intelligence stricture to upper one and vice versa).
We see what we expect to be there.
