"Please, do not go out and keep your children indoors on solar eclipse day,'' Togo's minister for health said in a message broadcast on state television.<br />http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/060328_eclipse_overview.html<br /><br />For me, I think this is extremely unfortunate that those people are encouraged to miss perhaps a once-in-a-life-time opportunity just because they are lacking five minutes worth of knowledge about the phenomenon and eye safety.<br />For many of us in regions that will miss the eclipse, we can only dream of being there ... which seems like a place with many inhabitants hiding inside their huts.<br />How unfortunate and ironic!<br /><br />But happy observing to those who are going to see the eclipse!<br />
