1 In which constellation is the opposite point of the center of the milky way?<br />2 Does Celestia shows how it will look towards the Sun when you are at Alpha Centauri?<br />3 The solarsystem is in the constellation Andromeda as seen from A Centauri ,is it in de area of the Andromeda galaxy?<br />4 Which constellation has the greatest starconcentration ,and which constellation has the smallest star concentration.<br />5 Which constellation has the highest concentration of young ,hot ,most massive ,largest and most luminous stars? North an southern hemisphere both.<br />6 How long will it take when i travel with the speed of light (straight) towards Ursa Major when it has a (little) bit changed in shape? The constellations are either between us and the galactic center or in directions that point away from it.<br /><br />I'll leave other posters to answer the rest of the questions. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /><br /><br /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <em>"2012.. Hi remcot,<br /><br />I agree with Saiph that these do sound like homework questions. I don't know if they're yours, but I could easily see someone else having these questions so it may be best not to post solutions to them online. It shouldn't be too hard for you to find answers to these questions. If you don't already have it, you should download and install celestia from http://www.shatters.net/celestia/download.html<br /><br />Then when you load celestia, goto "Render", "View Options", make sure Constellations and constellation borders are checked under the "Show" option, and Constellations is checked under the "Label" option. To move to another place (like Alpha Centauri), select "Navigation," "Go to selection" and type in the place you want to view what things look like from. Wait for Celestia to transport you, then to look back at the sun for example, do "Navigation", "Select Sol" and then "Navigation", "Center Selection" - you can see then whatever constellation the Sun would be in. <br /><br />To figure out which constellations have the most hot blue stars, goto Sol, then you can select "Render", "Star Style", "Scaled Discs" also see that "Celestial Grid" is checked under "Render", "View Options". Look around at what you see and find the constellations with Dec greater than or less than 0 that seem to have the most bright blue stars. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>
