Space X is here to stay. They have returned rockets hundreds of times. Reused Dragons are almost routine now and they are ready for the next flight in a matter of days.

Starship prototypes are being lined up. If one fails, another one comes out the gate. In the future, if a customer like the Defense dept. needs something quickly in another part of the world, who could they ask to deliver something large very quickly.

If SLS fails in any way, how long would it take for the next one to be ready? If another rocket is in the pipeline, doesn't the new one have to be checked itself? That could be months for NASA (maybe another year or two). Elon would be laughing.

So if SLS misfires this launch, think where NASA would turn to get to the moon or other vital needs Starship would be capable of.
