Apparently we are all still living within the effects of the Big Bang..

And after many more billions of years go by galaxy's will grow so far apart that stars will no longer be seen within the blackness of space..

I have looked all over the net etc.. and for the life of me cannot seem to find the answer to,

what is space made of?

What encapsulates space? if anything....

What is Beyond space?...Ok I know it's theoretical..But still I can't seem to find ANY ones theory..

It may be basic to some people but I have suddenly taken an interest in this subject....

As for a theory or better yet, hypothesis of your questions. Without, any facts of any kind, it would all be conjecture. So you could make up whatever you want and it would be just a good as the next guys theory.

Of course, that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to find the answer.

@clangers:
To your space, time, gravity, add another thing you'll not find a real answer about. It is 'charge'. They have even found fractional charges, but I haven't seen anyone explains what really a 'charge' is. Note without 'charges' this univ will fall apart.
Earth is Boring

clangers - Actually, there are many galaxies which are being attracted towards a great attractor in the direction of Orion.

And some of these are blue-shifted in respects to Milky Way.

We will have plenty of company forever.

In the nearer billions of years we have an upcoming merger with Andromeda.

Space - we do not know, but the observation of virtual particles and the theory of vacuum energy (aka dark energy, aka the cosmological constant) implies space contains some energy.

And there is also space-time.

On what the space of our universe is contained within and what lies beyond, you will not find the answer on the internet.

A clue is found in the Bible, however:

(1 Kings 8:27) ". . ."But will God truly dwell upon the earth? Look! The heavens, yes, the heaven of the heavens, themselves cannot contain you;. . ."

This may mean that there is a much larger universe (heaven of the heavens) containing our universe and other universes (heavens).

God would know what science cannot yet observe.

You're hypothesis is just a good as the next guys.

So...the answer to my questions still remain enigmatic even today. Surely my thoughts on this subject have been pondered throughout the ages, so why at this technologically advanced time do we not have a more defined answer.
I mean, look at the night sky..i'ts black, I know it’s black because I can see it, so therefore it’s there, it exists.

Is the answer in the bible?
I as a rule am not a great believer, but this subject of beyond the stars etc and the lack of answers is perhaps starting to make question my lack of faith.

Question, Questions, perhaps I should just stick with Star trek!!!
Much of astronomy is hypothesis rather than theory. It is based mostly on EM waves that come from beyond our solar system. Sort of like figureing what Europe is like by measuring the waves that wash up in the Atlantic shores of the USA. Many assumptions are necessary. Only occasionally is there suporting evidence, except it fits together in a logical pattern, which is moderately elegant.
The recent main stream hypothesis is: Our galaxy will remain about as compact as at present, so there will still be a few dim red class M stars in the night sky for perhaps a trillion years when the last of them become cold compact stars. In 50 billion years, there will likely be too little gas and dust left in our galaxy to make significant numbers of new stars. New main stream hypothesis will likely replace most of the present theory in a century or so. Sorry I have no references or links. Neil
